Este es un libro que me he leído este año en la Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de 1ºde Intermedio y os cuelgo un breve resumen de los capítulos que hice para el trabajo.

A Pair of ghostly Hands (Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch)

Aunt Emily told about her past. She rented a farmer house in Tresillack. One night when she was sleeping she heard a noise, she thought that it rained but she got up from the bed and saw that it wasn’t raining. She realized that the noise was from a tap that was open and went to turn it off. She returned to bed and heard the noise again. Went and saw they had a hand in the faucet. She was frightened.

Lost Hearts (M. R. James)

It’s the story of Stephen, a boy whose parents had died. When he lived in his cousin’s house the housekeeper told him that a woman and a child died in this house. One night at eleven o’clock had been with his cousin in the library. When he was in the library he looked a document that counted that he killed a woman and a child. He returned to read this document on some and had another vision of what had happened that night, because everyone thought he had killed a wild-cat.

Mrs Amworth (E. F. Benson)

Mrs Amworth and Francis Urcombe was friends when the son of Mrs Amworth arrived to the village Francis believed that in the body of the boy lived a vampire. But when the body of the boy was found in the road died Francis knew that the vampire lived in the body Mrs Amworth. One night took the body of Mrs Amworth and carry to the cemetery and drove a stake in her heart.

The Waxwork (A. M. Burrage)

It is the story of a journalist, Raymond Hewson. He worked in a wax museum. One night a room through the figure of Dr. Bougette hit him. He was told that Dr. Bourgette was a murderer who killed his victims hypnotize. When Hewson was in her room felt that the doctor's eyes dug into his back. When daylight came saw was cold and dead.

John Charrington's Wedding (Edith Nesbit)

John was in love with May. He asked if she wanted to marry him but she refused. John set a wedding date without consent of May.

The wedding day appeared dirty and his face pale. When finished the wedding were in a car.

A boy brought a letter in which he said that John had taken a train.

They were buried together in the garden of the church when they were lovers.
